Peter Mayer and his team, from the department of Forest Nature Conservation-Northwest German Forest Research Institute (involved in Life Prognoses), worked on Biomass dynamics in naturally developing beech and oak forests of north-western Germany. The results of this research has been published in the Journal of Ecology.
